my FIRST DEAR JANE block

WOW--two posts in one day! I couldnt resist! above is my very first DEAR JANE block!!
I am delighted with it's outcome! HOWEVER, I am ROTFLMAO because with this very one block--hand piecing went out the window! In the book of the blocks, Jane's looks pretty good for being hand-pieced! I say--more power to her! she did a wonderful job..I really wanted to hand-piece--but the seams would NOT cooperate! the very last seam will be pressed open... this one is finger-pressed for now--till tomorrow! I was so excited I couldnt wait till tomorrow for you to see! My background, sashings, possibly back, will be unbleached muslin (looks white in the pic)...I do intend to hand quilt! I am very far from that point--who knows--might change my mind! hehehehehehe night night--tomorrow--maybe I will make another?!?!?!?

WOW way too much work for me but you are doing a great job so far Carole--I know you love a challenge. I like the background and it is not too white for me--perfect!

What an undertaking a Dear Jane is, but I do love them...so much in fact that I got a cross stitch set to make a replica. I'll be watching your progress!

Gosh is that Thimbleberries fabric? =) The color seems quite traditional, though. So, did you make another?

Oh Carole! No no no, don't change your mind... keep at it! I'd love to see the progress on your DEAR JANE Quilt. Great start! To bad you had problems with hand-piecing the seams on this block. Will you still hand-piece the others? Have fun! I'll be watching :) Who knows, you might make me want to Quilt too. GOOD JOB! ~ Ing
